In his Letter from a Birmingham Jail, Martin Luther King Jr. asks the question, “Will we be extremists for hate or for love?” Christians of conscience living in the social and political landscape of 21st century America devote themselves to this question everyday. We strive after a world in which all have embraced the transformative, world-changing power of love present in the work of the people.

This blog is a small part of that task; a space to theologically dissect and respond to the issues of justice, religion, history, and intersectional oppressions that plague our world. The hope is that, through the labor undertaken here, people can find awareness, articulation, and clarity about some of the historical complexities and moral commitments of the Christian life.
